Network Quality Live Test — Jitter + RTT
Measure round-trip time, jitter, and consistency. Different from speedtest: this catches the latency variance that breaks video calls and live audio, even on "fast" connections.
How to use this tool
- 1
Click Run Test
20 RTT samples to a fast endpoint.
- 2
Read jitter + RTT
Average + 95th percentile + variance.
- 3
Verdict
Verdict for video calls, gaming, streaming.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does this differ from speedtest.net?
Speedtest measures throughput; this measures latency consistency (jitter), which matters more for video calls, gaming, and live audio. High jitter = audio glitches even with fast connection.
What is jitter?
Variation in latency between consecutive packets. <30ms jitter = good for VoIP. >100ms = audible glitches. Spike jitter = WiFi congestion or ISP issue.
Why no packet loss test?
Browser HTTP can't reliably measure UDP packet loss (different transport). For real packet loss test, use a desktop tool (mtr, ping).
